The VMSC provides emergency ambulance services to the North Penn area and surrounding communities. In addition, we conduct rescue operations and provide support services to other ambulance squads, police departments, fire companies, and industry. We also conduct emergency medical training for our membership and the general public.
Volunteering with the VMSC is easy! Simply stop by our station or go under the volunteer section on this website. Our station is located on the grounds of Central Montgomery Medical Center on Medical Campus Drive in Hatfield Township.
We currently have five types of volunteer membership: Active, Reserve, Associate, Rescue, and Auxiliary. Each different type of membership has different hour requirements. Our crews spend most of their time on duty in any of our three stations. However, time spent in classes, meetings, or other designated activities can be counted toward your hourly requirements, as outlined below. At any time, a member can request to either upgrade or downgrade their membership status to reflect changes in their time commitments.
